Using Courtsy

What is Courtsy?

Courtsy helps communities publish court availability and manage reservations from a mobile-friendly schedule. A community, property manager, club, or other organization may set its own eligibility, conduct, guest, cancellation, and court-use rules. Those rules apply in addition to Courtsy’s Terms of Service.

Do I need an account to view a schedule?

No. You can view a public court schedule without providing an email address. An email sign-in is required to make a reservation so Courtsy can verify the request and help apply booking rules fairly.

Is there a fee to reserve a court?

No. Courtsy does not charge people a fee for an individual court reservation. A community may choose a paid Courtsy subscription for its own management features; that is separate from a player’s reservation.

How does sign-in work?

Courtsy uses passwordless email sign-in. We send a one-time link to confirm your email address instead of asking you to create a password. Keep access to your email account secure, and do not forward sign-in links to anyone else.

What can other people see about my reservation?

Public schedules show only the booker’s first name and last initial, along with the reservation’s time and public status. They do not show email addresses.

Can I cancel a reservation?

Yes. Use the cancellation link in your confirmation email, then confirm the cancellation. A successful cancellation immediately returns the time to the schedule. Reservations can be cancelled only before they end; a community may also have its own cancellation rules.

If the link no longer works, the reservation may already have been cancelled, may have ended, or the link may have expired. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy for details.

What if a court’s rules differ from what I expect?

The community offering the court controls its local eligibility, conduct, guest, cancellation, and facility-use rules. Contact that community or property manager for questions about access to the physical facility. Courtsy provides the scheduling tools and cannot guarantee facility access or schedule availability.

Trials, Billing, and Refunds

Is there a trial for community accounts?

New paid-community accounts include a 30-day trial. No payment is collected for the trial. The account billing page shows the trial end date; paid features do not continue after that date unless the account owner starts a paid subscription.

How are paid subscriptions billed?

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew each month unless the account owner cancels before the next renewal date. The billing page shows the plan, billing period, and available cancellation option. Applicable taxes may be added.

Who can manage or cancel a subscription?

The account owner can manage billing from the account billing page. Cancelling schedules the subscription to end after the current billing period, so paid access remains available until that date. When access ends, managed facility shortlinks stop working.

Will I receive a refund after cancelling?

Fees already paid for the current billing period are not automatically refunded for unused time. Courtsy does not offer self-service refunds. For a billing problem or refund request, contact Courtsy through the contact page; approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible. This does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.

See the Refund and Cancellation Policy and Terms of Service for the complete policy.

How are payments handled?

Paid subscriptions use Stripe Checkout. Card details are entered with Stripe, and Courtsy does not store full payment card numbers. Stripe collects the billing contact details required for checkout. Stripe’s handling of information is governed by its own privacy policy.

Privacy and Security

What information does Courtsy collect?

Courtsy collects information needed to run the service, such as sign-in and reservation details, account and community-administration information, payment-related references, support messages, and limited technical or error information. We do not collect an email address merely because someone views a court schedule.

Does Courtsy sell personal information or use it for advertising?

No. Courtsy does not sell account information or use booking email addresses for advertising or marketing. We share information only with service providers that operate services such as hosting, storage, email delivery, payment processing, and error monitoring, or when required to do so by law or to protect people, rights, and the service.

How long is my information kept?

Active daily reservation data expires at the court’s next local midnight. Courtsy keeps account, payment, administrative, and audit information only as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and maintain reliable records. Closed support cases are retained for 30 days.

Does Courtsy use cookies?

Courtsy uses essential, first-party cookies for sign-in, booking sessions, registration, and billing actions. They are not used for advertising, cross-site tracking, or browser analytics. Blocking or deleting cookies can prevent these features from working. An external payment checkout may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

How does Courtsy protect information?

Courtsy uses passwordless and signed links, secure session cookies, access controls, privacy-minimized public reservation data, encrypted connections in production, and browser protections against common web attacks. Operational error telemetry redacts email addresses, authentication tokens, secrets, credentials in connection strings, and URL query values before it is sent.

No online service can guarantee perfect security. Keep your email account secure and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account access.

How can I request help with my information or report a security concern?

Use the Courtsy contact page for privacy requests, account questions, billing issues, and security concerns. Include enough detail for us to investigate, but do not send passwords, payment card numbers, authentication tokens, or other sensitive information in your message.

For complete information, read the Privacy Policy and Security at Courtsy.
